The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Government Polytechnic Hingoli welcomes young aspirants from Maharashtra to shape their career by developing strong technical, analytical and communication skills so that the students besides going for industry jobs have the necessary skills & knowledge for competing with students from reputed institutions across India.

The department strives continuously to achieve the objectives through focus on all important areas of student development. The major strength of department includes focus on teaching learning process and students active participation in several co-curricular & extra-curricular programs alongwith excellent placement record. The department consistently improves interaction with industries for training and placement of students with internship opportunities.

The students have active participation in IEDSSA sports, social activities like blood donation, tree planation drive, health/hygiene, yoga & health awareness programmes. The department has facilitated few students in WILP of BITS Pilani and other students are successfully placed in companies like GE Aviation, John Deere, Midea India, Instor, Bajaj, Dhoot Transmission, Varroc, Reliance, Kalyani Forge, etc. in recent years. Other consistent activities carried out throughout year includes industrial training, independent minor and major projects, industry visits, strong institute industry interface, financial awareness programs, lectures by guest speakers, expert lectures by renowned faculties etc.

The faculties & staff undertake industrial trainings and skill development programs for updating technical knowledge. The department is well equipped with laboratories for hands on experience of students with exposure of latest emerging trends of the field.
